I decid\u00aded to ride the Suzu\u00adki up the 9.2 miles to his house and brought along some san\u00addals in case we walked down to the creek. As usu\u00adal Ralph had pre\u00adpared a won\u00adder\u00adful meal. We had a nice long chat while eat\u00ading then hiked down to the creek for an hour or so before return\u00ading to the house for my birth\u00adday \u201ccake\u201d com\u00adplete with candle.<\/p>\n<p>When leav\u00ading I decid\u00aded to take the long, 70 mile, route home so rode on up the pass and over and down to Hwy. 246 into Solvang. Then out from Solvang on the Alisal Road to Hwy. 101 and on home.
