I then packed up and rode over to the near\u00adby <em>Pie in the Sky Restau\u00adrant<\/em> only to dis\u00adcov\u00ader that I was one hour too&nbsp;early.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So I road off and down Rock Creek to High\u00adway 395 and north to the scenic June Lakes Loop (all the hype is well placed) then con\u00adtin\u00adued up 395 to Lee Vin\u00ading for lunch and a stop at Mono Lake.  On north anoth\u00ader 60 miles to high\u00adway 89 where I turned west then north again to cov\u00ader about 40 miles of friend Tom\u2019s 113 mile 2009 Death Ride course, a good and beau\u00adti\u00adful choice. I stopped around 4:30 in a restau\u00adrant in Tahoe City for a deli\u00adcious and <span class=\"caps\">MUCH<\/span> over\u00addue turkey burger.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rid\u00ading around the west shore of Lake Tahoe to arrive at the burg\u00ader was stun\u00adning. After the burg\u00ader I planned on head\u00ading on up 89 to 49 then look for a place to camp. I went into three ade\u00adquate camp\u00adgrounds but I would have been the only one in any of the three so rode out of each. I was just enough fright\u00adened to not wish to stay, oh&nbsp;well.<\/p>\n<p>It was a spec\u00adtac\u00adu\u00adlar evening so I road to the end of 49 then on to the end of 70 again rejoin\u00ading high\u00adway 395. This 65 miles was through amaz\u00ading long and beau\u00adti\u00adful val\u00adleys of cat\u00adtle ranches.<\/p>\n<p>It seemed about 35 min\u00adutes to dark as I arrived at the junc\u00adture with high\u00adway 395 and look\u00ading on the map north saw few choic\u00ades for accom\u00admo\u00adda\u00adtion so I rode south 23 miles to Reno and grate\u00adful\u00adly found and stayed the night in a Super 8&nbsp;Motel.<\/p>\n<p>Jour\u00adney\u00ading forth unchart\u00aded on a motor\u00adcy\u00adcle has lots of sim\u00adi\u00adlar\u00adi\u00adties to bicy\u00adcle tour\u00ading, e.g. eas\u00adi\u00adly start\u00ading up con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adtions with folks or as with my lunch stop today in Lee Vin\u00ading some\u00adone com\u00ading over to my table and ask\u00ading me to join him. Also, there is the sim\u00adi\u00adlar feel\u00ading of just being out there in the envi\u00adron\u00adment rather than mov\u00ading along in an iso\u00adlat\u00ading glass and steel bubble.<\/p>\n<p>All in all I am lov\u00ading doing this. As usu\u00adal, almost the only time I am not enjoy\u00ading it is when I\u2019ve rid\u00adden too long with\u00adout stop\u00adping <span class=\"caps\">OR<\/span> have gone <span class=\"caps\">TOO<\/span> long with\u00adout eat\u00ading.
