How I came to 2,727 miles for 2013 is a study in con\u00adstant\u00adly reset\u00adting the car\u00adrot being chased as well as lots of com\u00adpul\u00adsive bike rid\u00ading. The six instances of mov\u00ading the car\u00adrot fur\u00adther and yet fur\u00adther out of reach are described forthwith.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>It\u2019s the end of Sep\u00adtem\u00adber and I am think\u00ading <strong><em>Yikes!<\/em><\/strong> You slack\u00ader, you need to at least get over 2,000 miles for the&nbsp;year<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Crank\u00ading more in Octo\u00adber 2,000 miles seems a giv\u00aden so I move the car\u00adrot out to 200 miles\/month. By Decem\u00adber I have 2,165 and the weath\u00ader demands get\u00adting out, so out I go (and go and go&nbsp;and&nbsp;\u2026)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>I hit 2,400 miles on 12\/15 with 235 for the month and the car\u00adrot slides to 406\/month, the most miles in a 2013&nbsp;month<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>A Christ\u00admas day ride moves me to 401 miles so the car\u00adrot shifts to 456 to be my sec\u00adond largest total for a December<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Box\u00ading Day and 53 more miles brings me to 453 miles so the car\u00adrot jumps again, to 556, the most in 9.5 years as well as the most post heart attack. I also notice that I\u2019m near\u00ading the 2010 total of 2,725 so the car\u00adrot jumps over to that col\u00adumn to accom\u00adplish both goals.
