After a fun morning that started with Eric equipping himself with some nice snow boarding equipment at a great sale in a local shop we cruised through the nearby REI then had identical and delicious chicken hash omlettes:
Then it was a drive back home and onto the bikes for another great ride. We rode down to, through, and beyond the town of Castle Rock. Here I am along the nice bikeway with The Castle Rock in the distance:
We headed west and climbed over a hill before descending into a beautiful valley.
Here’s Eric in a tuck zooming by me:
A stop further along for a few bison. Here’s two shots of the same one.
In the left image he’s standing right over my top tube 🙂
Four shots of a nice garden and serenity setting where we stopped for water.
Yeah, the crest of the last hill!
And Eric using the advantage of his 29 incher to leave me behind and walking my bike down this grassy hill within the last mile from home.
A great ride and day. We arrived home to find Kerrie already there with the boys arriving a little later. Kerrie and Eliot went off to the school carnival while Henry, Eric, and I had a nice dinner and interesting chat.

Castle Rock…I half expected Paul and the TdF helicopter to zoom in for a French history side story…As for Mr Bison, he must be vacationing from TdC Ballard Canyon, no?
Sounds like an great day! Do you need a doctor’s prescription for the hash in Colorado?
You brighten my day with your fun and adventure! So glad that you are enjoying your time.
